Design Edge Houston Delivers a National Market Experience without the Commute
Houston, Texas - August 2, 2023 In keeping with its mission to deliver best-in-class design products and services to regional audiences, nationally recognized Design Edge brings its semiannual trade-only event to Houston, Texas, on September 13th and 14th. In its third year, the Houston event follows in the footsteps of Design Edge experiences in Boston, Seattle, Chicago, and Miami, where local design firms engaged with the owners and senior executives from industry-leading brands customarily seen only at national markets.
Showcasing over sixty partners, Design Edge Houston brings trade-oriented companies like Thibaut, Eichholtz, Cosentino, Fine Art Lighting, Vanguard Furniture, and Sherrill Furniture to over forty-thousand square feet in Houston's George R. Brown Convention Center. This season's event also highlights some of the industry's favorite boutique brands, such as Azzurri Kitchens, LLC, Abner Henry, and Charleston Forge, who will present their products directly to design professionals from across the greater Houston area.
Constructed to appeal to emerging and established interior design professionals alike, Design Edge has created a slate of live programming to help local firms navigate their way through today's often raucous business terrain. On Wednesday, September 13th, renowned interior design business strategist Melissa Galt will instruct attendees on how to grow their revenue, while on Thursday, September 14th, Houston-based designers Benjamin Johnston and Laura Umansky will join Cosentino Vice President Patty Dominquez and others in a candid conversation about brand building sponsored by Luxe Magazine, followed by a special program on overcoming roadblocks in busines by leading design educator Gail Doby. Additionally, the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and the Gulf Coast Chapter of ASID Texas will hold daily events.
Special to the Houston show is the launching of the "Design Edge Style Squad," a group of regional designers tasked with trend spotting and selecting the most stylish textiles, furnishing, lighting, and decor from among the brand represented around the show floor. From these finds will come "The Best of Design Edge Houston," with winners being announced Thursday afternoon. Design Edge Houston will conclude with the much anticipated "Designer Dash," with attendees dashing to cash and carry items directly off the show floor!
